I’ve watched the movie adaptation a few years before and it is one of my favourite movies which I was really captivated by how Mark is able to survive on Mars using limited resources while the whole Mars is going against him. I really liked how he planted potatoes on Mars since I like potatoes. (Potato gang 🥔)

Reading the book gave me even more perspective to how Mark thinks and feels during his mission. The thinking and decision making process is laid out as well and there’s also a couple additional story that wasn’t in the movie which I enjoyed reading.
